Hello and Welcome to Everydaydishes.

Well, As it says in the Title Hello everyone and welcome to EverydayDishes. I’m So ready to get started and I guess we can start with last night’s Dinner.

Turkey with apple sauce, Fried Potatoes, Broccoli and Cheese.

So I had bought a small Turkey Thing at the grocery store on sale last week…it was a Festive Tender cured Turkey. It’s one of those not real things that was kinda squished out of a machine but it tasted pretty good. I cooked it in the Crockpot for about 4 hours on high with a bag of 15 bean soup (which is what we are having tonight) I spooned about a quarter of a jar of apple sauce over it and let it cool on a plate while I cooked the rest of the meal.

I heated Vegtable oil on the stove and fried up some potatoes and onions but they didn’t taste quite like I wanted. This was a side dish my mom used to make us when I was little I don’t think I got it right at all. It just wasn’t what I remembered but my husband sure liked it. Anybody got any recommendations on how to make them more tasty?

I had a bag of frozen Broccoli in the freezer so I cooked it up and stuck it in the oven on about 350… covered in cheese…just like Mike (my hubby) loves it. I think this had to be his favorite dish for the evening.

All in all it was a pretty decent meal…I love easy meals from my Crockpot but I’m not really fond of hot, hot, hot, meals in the middle of the summer. Since it was just the Turkey Thing it was pretty good though. Tonight we are having the 15 bean soup that I cooked up with the Turkey.

Well I’ll blog again tomorrow. I will try to include Breakfast and lunch plans in here occasionally too but I don’t usually eat breakfast everyday and lunch tends to be as quick as possible…just another thing I’m trying to change!
